John introduced me to one of his galleries, and helped me put together a small portfolio of prints. We took them to Des Moines just before Christmas, and they're on display now! Click on each image for a larger view
The gallery is ArtHouse Des Moines. They have two locations, each combining great gallery space with great informal dining.
The image above is one of a series of high-contrast isolates that I've been working on. I'm printing these on a textured, 100% cotton rag base to give them the look of a brush painting.
John and I go walking each week along one of the best nature trails in the area, weather permitting. I photograph constant on these walks. Here are three other images that are on display at ArtHouse Des Moines. These are tritones: a monochrome image printed with three different ink colors. I took this at the height of fall color.
This is of Indian Creek in early spring 2004.
This is a panorama along the Cedar River.
I'm actively working to expand my small portfolio. I'll create a new blog shortly featuring my images.
