I've been very much taken with this new service, PhilosophersNotes. Brian Johnson abstracts philosophically and spiritually oriented books into roughly six page summaries and sends them to you twice a month for a year for just under $40. You also get access to his archives of notes for all the other books he's reviewed.
The real benefit for me is to bring me into contact with books that I want to read. I've had about a forty percent hit rate so far of moving from reading the notes to buying and reading the book.
Check it out!

Very interesting web site and very well designed (i might add).
Does he ever add books to the archive or is it fixed?
