Our wonderful friends finished up all the board washing and stacking on the Fourth of July. Here's a video of our wrap-up party!
Behind the scene, John and I put together his SBA disaster recovery loan application - three years of tax returns, a statement of worth, and three years monthly cash flow. He also put together an itemized list of all his losses - both tools and lumber - and sent that along. He had a call from the SBA field agent on the Fourth (pretty good service on a Federal holiday!) asking for some additional information. We sent along the itemized loss and proposed tool purchase list along with information about his rental space. Two hours later we had an email from the field agent saying the list was just what he needed, and that John will hear from an SBA loan officer within two weeks.
I must give both FEMA and SBA snaps for excellent service to folks here. FEMA checks have already gone out to homeowners, and the SBA has been incredibly easy to work with so far.
